ShowThyme pet and show supplies is owned and operated by Gloria and Ken Landon, based in Putaruru, New Zealand. Gloria says: I have been involved with dog shows for over 30 years and through this time I have owned or exhibited for other kennels a number of breeds, particularly double coated breeds like the Bearded Collie, Tibetan Terrier, Shetland Sheepdog and the Pomeranian. I also had with me for a short time an Italian Greyhound. In recent years I have handled and cared for the single coated Maltese and the silky coat of the Tibetan Spaniel. The one thing these dogs have taught me is that ‘no two coats' are the same and 30 years ago the grooming aids that we have available to us today, were not available. For over 20 years Ken managed the family farm and we bred and owned Bearded Collies and Tibetan Terriers and worked on many dog club committees. Whilst working on these committees we saw the need for a commercial secretary/cataloguer and so established ‘Thyme Print' now well established as a Cataloguer/Secretary and Dog Show Management business. After leaving the farm and moving to Putaruru in South Waikato the next natural progression was in purchasing the Show Stall and our Bus/Shop is seen at most North Island dog shows this also led to our ‘web shop' this started small and has now progressed to this wonderful new website. We now import a large portion of our products from the USA.
Our lives are very busy with ‘cataloguing dog show and internet sales during the week and each weekend we are at a show somewhere in the North Island. Through my earlier experience with coats and now running a very successful show stall and web shop, we confidently offer advice and quality grooming products for the presentation of the showdog and maintenance of the kennel and pet dog.
