COLOUR TREATMENT: Returning the pigment to the coat, not dying.

If you intend to do a colour treatment, you must make sure that your dogs coat is not damaged or porous. Often the main reason that a colour treatment is required is because the coat has been damaged by  - wind, sun, rain, swimming or age of coat (ready to blow) etc.

While the coat is damaged it allows dirt to get into the hair shaft and for white dogs they begin to look brown and dirty – so what do we do… try to clean the coat with harsh shampoos and cleaners, they generally do not work or even worse work a little so what do we do – do it again… and we have once again added to the coat problem.

Many coats are damaged by the belief that to keep a harsh coat we never should bath, wrong’ bath and give the coat a much needed drink’.

MOISTURISERS: there are many good moisturisers on the market especially designed for the canine coat. Moisturisers are absorbed by the hair shaft and give the coat back it strength and elasticity, less breakage and a coat that can bounce back from the wear and tear of the grooming required for dog shows.

 Before using a colour treatment

Treat the coat with a quality coat moisturiser.
