HOW
IT WORKS:
Just attach your Force or Personal dryer to the HFG and clamp it to your
grooming table. Once attached, the HFG has been designed to allow you to move
your dryer fully around the dog or cat you are grooming, easily positioning
your dryer in place, leaving both hands free to hold and brush out your pet.
It is easy
to use, but strong and durable making it ideal for commercial grooming
parlours, while still being easy enough to use for less experienced groomers.
The ability
to attach a quieter personal hairdryer makes it ideal for cats, puppies, and
small, nervous or novice dogs, as you train them to get used to louder Force or
Stand Dryers.
But its
functionality doesn’t stop there. The length of the HFG means groomers can also
comfortably reach around medium and large sized dogs, while still enjoying the
convenience of hands free drying.
If you groom
dogs whose furnishings or coat need straightened before scissoring, then the
ability to use a personal hairdryer, with its higher heat setting, is also a
major bonus.
Swapping
between a Personal Dryer and Force Dryer with the HFG is also easy. The dryer
cradle accommodates both types of dryers, and fits the majority
of Personal Hairdryers.
The dryer
cradle can also be attached to suit both left and right handed groomers.

Keeping your pet comfy while on the
grooming table
Keeping
your dog or cat comfortable while grooming can be a challenge, particularly
if they have a big coat and require several hours on the table.
I use a
baby's changing mat on my grooming table to ease the pressure on them, and
lie them down while brushing or drying each side. Often they are so
comfortable that they will go to sleep!
The
changing mats are inexpensive and waterproof. You can often purchase
them second-hand for a few dollars via on-line auction sites, or pick them up
from garage/yard sales.
Once
you've finished drying your dog, or need to trim their feet, just remove the
changing mat and you have access to the flat surface of your grooming table.
If you've got a particularly wiggly dog, who is likely to cause the mat to
shift, you can easily attach (to the bottom of your changing mat) the rubber
anti-skid material available to attach to floor rugs to stop them skidding.
